Bankers South Provides $10 Million of Debt Capital to  Bay Communications II

Mansfield, MA, December 20, 2013 – Bay Communications II, LLC today announced the closing of a $10 million debt facility to support the continued growth of the company’s tower development portfolio.  Based in Mansfield, MA, Bay Communications II develops, constructs and operates cell phone towers in the northeastern United States.  Bay Communications II is backed by equity partner Seaport Capital, who initially invested in the company in 2011.

Our Team

Bay Communications II, LLC was founded by Jim Riley in partnership with Seaport Capital (www.Seaportcapital.com) to provide wireless communication facilities for carriers throughout the United States . Mr. Riley has over 19 years of experience in the wireless communication infrastructure industry. Together with Seaport Capital's investment experience in the communications infrastructure business Bay Communications II continues to be a leader in the communication tower industry.

James R. Riley – Founder, President

Mr. Riley is the Founder and President of Bay Communications II and is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the company. Prior to Founding Bay Communications, II, Mr. Riley was the Founder and CEO of Bay Communications, LLC from 2002-2009. Bay Communications, LLC was a tower development company started in partnership with private equity investment firm Housatonic Partners. Bay built a portfolio of highly desirable tower assets in difficult zoning and permitting environments that provide strategic coverage for cellular carriers in parts of the Northeast. In December 2009 Bay Communications, LLC sold 28 communications towers to SBA Communications (NYSE: SBAC).

Prior to this, Mr. Riley was President of The NLS Group where he was responsible for all day-to-day operations of a privately held tower development and consulting firm. At The NLS Group Mr. Riley had responsibility for operating and developing wireless communication towers and was instrumental in the development of the management team necessary to support this high growth business. During his career with The NLS Group he managed the development and negotiated the sale of tower assets to both SBA Communications and SpectraSite Communications.

Mr. Riley is knowledgeable in all aspects of wireless site development and tower development and has been a guest speaker at various seminars and conventions including the Build-to-Suit and Purchase/Leaseback Tower Program Symposium sponsored by Shorecliff Communications International, and tower symposium’s sponsored by the Personal Communications Industry Association. Member of the Personal Communications Industry Association (PCIA)
